Human Cardiovascular Autonomic Physiology in Health and Disease

A Postdoctoral Fellowship position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Satish R Raj in the Libin Cardiovascular Institute, located in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. Our laboratory is focused on human cardiovascular autonomic physiology and pharmacology. We conduct studies exploring physiology and novel treatments in patients with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), vasovagal syncope, initial orthostatic hypotension, and orthostatic hypotension. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to join a dynamic, well-equipped laboratory and will receive highly personalized mentorship and training while pursing novel areas of study. Our laboratory is part of a supportive scientific environment with extensive resources and strong expertise in the study of cardiovascular autonomic physiology.

Opportunities are available immediately for a postdoctoral scientist with skills in human autonomic cardiovascular physiology, or with a background in clinical research and a desire to learn these techniques. Projects related to POTS, vasovagal syncope, and orthostatic hypotension are available.

Funding for this position is available for 2 years, with the possibility of extension. Salary will be based on experience.
