This position is accountable for staff performance management, safety, service, equipment utilization, profitability, and driver management. KPI oversight includes asset management, preventative maintenance, rate per mile, empty miles, miles per tractor, and on time service. budgeted cost, safety, service, quality, and utilization metrics for Linehaul operations.
Responsible for managing direct reports to achieve or exceed budgeted performance.
Responsible for the implementation of the Irving Management System and culture of continuous improvement for the Linehaul group.
Responsible for the implementation of initiatives that have been assigned to. (Accountable for technical aspect and responsible leading change aspects)
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
Proven track record of developing and promoting talent and building effective teams; Demonstrated ability to work with teams within and outside of direct control is a must.
Self-directed, ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner.
Effective communication style at all levels in the organization, a willingness to share information, and a collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality.
