We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Reporting to lead our client's financial reporting and FP&A functions. This is a pivotal role for the organization as they embarks on a significant growth phase, including multiple acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IFRS and US/CAD GAAP, a proven track record in public company financial reporting, and a strong ability to navigate complex financial landscapes.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of accurate and compliant financial statements under IFRS and US/CAD GAAP.
  • Lead the development and execution of financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Play a key role in the financial due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition accounting for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of financial professionals.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Effectively communicate financial information to senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and processes, including ERP systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial processes and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic background in accounting or finance, including a CPA or equivalent designation.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting for public companies, with a focus on IFRS and US/CAD GAAP.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple complex accounting projects, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Deep understanding of financial systems and processes, including ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
