General Function
They are seeking dedicated mobile app developers to create and implement the source code required for developing mobile applications on various platforms. As part of their team, you will contribute to supporting their growing customer base in both Canada and the United States.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Identify opportunities to develop new mobile products and protocols.
• Develop APIs to support mobile device functionality.
• Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to enhance app design and functionality.
• Implement testing procedures to identify and resolve bugs.
• Engage with users to understand customer needs and opportunities for improvements.
• Adapt current web applications for mobile platforms.
• Review current architecture and propose optimization, enhancement, and scalability solutions.
• Communicate across multiple teams to showcase new features and functionalities.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and market trends.
• Design, architect, and implement technical solutions for a state-of-the-art mobile platform.
• Provide thought leadership and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet corporate objectives.
• Deliver technical training to external team members to foster stronger cross-departmental relations.
• Ensure uniform enterprise application design standards are maintained.
• Provide thought leadership in technology direction, technical services, vendor partnerships, and industry standards adoption.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or computer engineering, or equivalent education/work experience.
• Extensive experience building Testing Frameworks for web and mobile platforms.
• 5+ years of experience developing web UI and mobile apps.
• Strong ability to learn business rules and comply with existing and new regulations or requirements.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to clearly articulate job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation.
Experience
• Minimum of 1-2 years' related work experience in the Financial Services Industry. • Knowledge of high-volume transaction systems and the ability to describe them in plain business English.
• Building and managing key relationships with internal and external business partners.
• Functional knowledge of financial instruments and industry domains is a plus.
