Factory Laboratory Manager/ Royal Canin- Guelph, ON

The Site Lab Manager ensures compliance of processes and ingredients to Mars and Regulatory standards. As part of the QFS Team, The Site Lab Manager leads a team of Raw Material (RM) Receivers and ensures adherence to processes and procedures through training & development and periodic evaluation of people, processes and test equipment.
Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, biology or related technical field; Minimum 5 years of experience in food processing industry with working knowledge of Food Safety Management programs and standards.
Good communication skills to liaise within site, with Regional support teams and stakeholders and with 3rd party suppliers and labs.
Lead/Manage Raw Material Receiving Team to provide approved ingredients for factory team in a timely manner.
Work closely with Factory Flow and Operations Teams, and Regional Commercial Team (SQAs and buyers) to provide approved raw materials for factory consumption.
