We are seeking a skilled Network Support Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting computer networks, ensuring seamless connectivity, and providing exceptional technical support to end-users. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a broad range of networking and support skills to enhance organizational IT infrastructure. Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and LAN components.
Troubleshoot network issues related to LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Provide technical support for desktop and server environments via help desk tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy.
Assist users with software troubleshooting across various platforms including Microsoft Office and other enterprise applications.
Monitor network performance and security, implementing necessary updates or repairs to optimize system reliability.
Manage user accounts and permissions within network systems while ensuring security protocols are followed.
Document network configurations, issues, and resolutions accurately for future reference.
Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical problems efficiently and maintain high customer service standards.
Proven experience in computer networking, including LAN setup and management.
Hands-on experience with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, Linux.
Familiarity with VPN setup and management as well as firewall configuration.
Experience using ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for incident tracking.
Knowledge of software troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics in a support environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
Prior experience working within help desk or IT support roles is preferred.
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar are advantageous but not mandatory.
