Location:
Hybrid (Ottawa)

Duration:
6 - 12 months, with option to convert to fulltime/perm

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications for Identity/Verification related products.
  • Implement microservices architecture to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build secure and user-friendly identity verification solutions.
  • Work with OpenID Connect and OAuth protocols to enhance authentication and authorization workflows.
  • Implement JPA and Hibernate for efficient database management and data access layers.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to security best practices.
  • Contribute to system architecture discussions and documentation.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in Java development.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data).
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and related design patterns.
  • Proficiency in working with OpenID Connect , OAuth 2.0 , and related authentication frameworks.
  • Expertise in Java Persistence API (JPA) and Hibernate for ORM and database interactions.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Kotlin experience for mobile app development (optional)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
  • Experience with identity verification or fintech products.Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their services.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in Agile teams.
