Permacon est le chef de file en Amérique du Nord dans la fabrication de produits de béton destinés aux marchés de l'aménagement paysager et de la maçonnerie. L'entreprise compte 4 usines au Québec et 5 en Ontario, et emploie plus de 450 employés sur ses différents sites. Permacon est une société CRH.
Nous sommes activement à la recherche d'un Directeur des opérations pour notre usine de Metcalfe , dans la région d'Ottawa.
Le candidat relèvera du vice-président des opérations de la région du Québec, puis assurera le développement des activités de production en assurant un contrôle des coûts, la croissance de la productivité, le développement des compétences et la progression de l'organisation selon les 5 fondamentaux (santé et sécurité, propreté des lieux, entretien, qualité, et production).
Responsabilités :
- Coordonner les activités de production avec l'équipe de superviseurs
- Appliquer la convention collective en vigueur et participer aux négociations pour le renouvellement de celle-ci
- Analyser et suivre des rapports de performance à l'aide d'outil informatique; appliquer des mesures correctives concernant les résultats d'efficacité et de qualité
- Administrer un budget d'opération annuel et monitorer les dépenses
- Assurer une présence dans l'usine et veiller au bon déroulement des opérations
- Optimiser la production et participer à l'amélioration continue
- Préparer et soumettre des projets de modernisation et d'amélioration des équipements de fabrication dans son secteur, en vue d'augmenter la productivité
- Collaborer avec les différentes parties prenantes (soutien qualité et opérations, finances, marketing, ventes, ressources humaines) et communiquer régulièrement avec eux pour favoriser l'atteinte des objectifs fixés.
- Analyser les résultats financiers lors des réunions avec la direction et appliquer les mesures correctives nécessaires.
- Collaborer avec la planification afin de maximiser les mises en production
- Être responsable de la maintenance des bâtiments et de la cour
- Soutenir le développement des équipes
- Appliquer des mesures disciplinaires envers les employés syndiqués et non-syndiqués lorsque requis
- Assurer la mise en œuvre et l'application des politiques de l'entreprise
- Coordonner et superviser les décomptes d'inventaires des produits finis et des matières premières
Qualifications requises :
- Diplôme universitaire dans un domaine relié aux opérations, en gestions ou génie
- Minimum 3 à 5 ans d'expérience en gestion dans un milieu manufacturier milieu syndiqué
- Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles, aptitude à établir et à maintenir des relations efficaces avec les employés et les gestionnaires.
- Gestion des budgets et des coûts
- Connaissance de base du français écrit et parlé
- Reconnu pour des compétences en leadership
- Initiative et sens de l'urgence

We are currently looking for a Plant manager at our Metcalfe facility, Southern Ottawa.
The candidate will report to the Vice-President of Operations for the Quebec region, ensure the development of production activities by ensuring cost control, productivity growth, skills development and the progression of the organization according to the 5 fundamentals (health and safety, cleanliness of the premises, maintenance, quality, and production).
Main responsabilities :
- Coordinate production activities with the team of supervisors
- Apply the collective agreement and participate in negotiations for its renewal
- Analyze and monitor performance reports using computer tools; apply corrective measures regarding efficiency and quality results
- Administer an annual operating budget and monitor expenses
- Ensure a presence in the plant and ensure the smooth running of operations
- Optimize production and participate in continuous improvement
- Prepare and submit projects to modernize and improve manufacturing equipment in its sector, with a view to increasing productivity
- Collaborate with the various stakeholders (quality and operations support, finance, marketing, sales, human resources) and communicate regularly with them to promote the achievement of set objectives.
- Analyze financial results during meetings with management and apply the necessary corrective measures.
- Collaborate with planning to maximize production starts
- Be responsible for building and yard maintenance
- Support team development
- Apply disciplinary measures to unionized and non-unionized employees when required
- Ensure the implementation and application of company policies
- Coordinate and supervise inventory counts of finished products and raw materials
Qualifications required:
- University degree in a field related to operations, management or engineering
- Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in a manufacturing and unionized environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and managers. Budget and cost management
- Basic knowledge of french speaking and writing
- Recognized for leadership skills
- Initiative and sense of urgency
