Role Type: Full time Permanent

Location: 1105 Clay Avenue, Burlington, ON

About The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Batching Operator oversees batch compounding of home care cleaning materials both liquid and solid in accordance with specified product formulas.

Responsibilities

  • Efficient operation of all batching equipment
  • Perform Start up, CIP and Sanitation in the Batching Area
  • Producing product to specification and Company standards
  • Awareness of Production Schedule. Produce to Production Schedule
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Observe all Safety Rules and promote a safe working environment with team members
  • Maintain strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Compliance with the company Production and Quality standards
  • Compliance with the company's Health, Safety, requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Good communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a team environment and individually
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have above average problem-solving skills
  • Environmental awareness and attention to detail oriented. Must be able to follow compounding/formula forms exactly to ensure correct order of addition
  • Possesses high Technical and Mechanical Aptitude
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational skills. Familiar with 5S and other organizational tools
  • Ability to learn how to operate multiple pieces of equipment and troubleshoot
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work. Able to lift 50 lbs
  • Capable of multitasking while keeping track of multiple ingredients/raw materials
  • Previous related batching experience an asset
  • Valid Fork truck license an asset
  • Flexible work schedule

Wage: $21.00/hour with a three-month probation period. After successfully completing the probation period, the new rate will be $22.50/hour. Shift premium of $0.50 is given to the Night shift

Benefits: Eligible to join the company benefits plan, which covers medical and dental, upon completion of the 3-Month Probationary Period

Bonus: Eligible for a 5% Performance Bonus. Accessible upon the successful completion of 1-Full Year of Service

Other: Safety Shoe reimbursement, up to $100/yr

Working Conditions: Factory setting (product packaging); requires lifting, walking, and standing for long periods of time. Must be reliable and punctual to meet customer's delivery requirements
