The Student Achievement and Supports Branch is seeking an Assessment Consultant for a permanent full-time position.
Reporting to the Director of the Assessment Unit, this position is responsible for:
Providing assessment support to school divisions.
Conducting research in content areas, effective assessment and assessment philosophy and design.
Organizing and managing multiple projects.
A self-starter who is positive and confident in their approach to new concepts and tasks, thorough, conscientious and attentive to detail and flexible in order to cope with ongoing changing demands in the workplace.
~ Candidates who demonstrate evidence of strong facilitation and consensus-building skills.
~ Typically, the knowledge and skills listed below are acquired through a Professional A teaching certificate and a minimum of 5 years of recent teaching experience:
A Masters of Education in a related area is an asset.
Fluency in both official languages is an asset.
Accreditation in English Language Arts is an asset.
