Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright is responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. You will be required to maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures. They must be a committed team player with a strong knowledge of and dedication to safety and production methods. All employees are required to be professional, cooperative, and flexible in line with the requirements of the position.

Operational Planning & Technical Execution

Perform maintenance functions and duties associated with predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
Lay out, assemble, and install piping, fitting, valves, and hoses associated with various inflows and outflows throughout the plant.
General Administration and Controls

Assist in training of apprentices on procedures and safe mechanical practices.
Complete inspection reports, daily journals, equipment logs and technical reports.
Work in conjunction with the Maintenance Planning Coordinator when it comes to preventative maintenance issues and specialized or capital work.
Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.

Valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to propagate technical information within a team environment while ensuring duties are performed in a safe and responsible manner.
Strong problem-solving skills while working under pressure requiring immediate response to issues.
Agile, with the ability to focus on priorities and re-align when needed.
Must possess a valid Journeyman Millwright Interprovincial Certificate.
Successful completion of a post-secondary institution in a mechanical-related program or have acquired qualifications of the trade by progressively advancing through an apprenticeship program to become certified.
Minimum 3 years trades experience in a heavy industrial field is required.
Valid First Aid Certificate considered an asset.
