Juriste Junior

We are a small boutique litigation firm specializing in criminal defence, employment law, regulatory prosecutions and administrative law matters. We are looking to add a junior lawyer to our team. Our primary office location is in Whitby, ON, however we have another office location in Newmarket, ON and represent clients all across the GTA. Our office operates under a hybrid work model, combining work at home with occasional office days.
While we are looking for an individual who has an interest in litigation generally, a significant amount of work for this position will involve representing clients in our busy criminal defence practice. This is an opportunity for junior counsel, so the ideal candidate will have prior 0-2 years of experience as a criminal lawyer conducting bail hearings, guilty pleas, preliminary inquiries and trials in both the Ontario and Superior Court of Justice. Articling experience in criminal law will also be considered as an asset. However we will consider all applications, as training and mentorship will be offered and available from senior counsel. Must be a member in Good Standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
