As an Environmental Scientist, you will join Calgary, AB as part of our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:
Manage a broad range of reclamation and remediation projects for one or more clients
Manage project related timelines and budgets
Communicate and liaise with clients and project related stakeholders
Act as a leader in the workplace using Matrix Standard Operating Safety and Technical Procedures
Lead simple to moderately complex contaminated site field investigations
Supervise junior staff and subcontractors
Initial interpretation of field data to make field-related decisions
Preparation of technical correspondence, proposals, work plans & cost estimates, and summary reports
Work with senior technical advisors to ensure high quality products that meet our clients' unique project needs
This role will require approximately 80% of time to be in the field
5-10 years' experience managing assessment, reclamation, remediation, and and monitoring projects for Oil & Gas clients within a consulting environment
~ A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, or engineering
~ Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to more junior professionals
~ Experience writing technical reports
~ A valid and clean driver’s license with no restrictions
