He/she is responsible for coaching, developing and maintaining a safe working environment for employees. If you're looking for an exciting role in a team-oriented environment, this is the job for youWhat we offer:Competitive compensation program: base and incentive planGenerous retirement contributionsExcellent benefits: medical, dental, vision care and moreA true team environment where every team member strives to achieve common goalsFun company events throughout the year: summer barbecues, golf tournaments, etc.Training and education reimbursement programsEmployee resource networks that promote diversity, equity and inclusion within the company....and much moreWhat you will do?Lead a team of warehouse operators and maintain the warehouse and tank farm.Supervise the preparation of mixes and the filling of products into different types of packagingVerify the accuracy of orders, items received, inventory and deliveriesCoordinate shipping tasksPerform daily warehouse inspectionsMaintain records, communicate relevant information and prepare all necessary documentationMonitor and control inventory itemsSafeguard the health and safety of your team and the working environment by maintaining a safe and clean working environment and ensuring the appropriate use of personal protective equipment.Comply with Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS regulations, as well as other company laws and regulations.Ensure that your team complies with company policies and procedures.Perform transactional processing in a warehouse management system (SAP).Provide training and monitor its effectivenessSort and distribute operational documentsPerform other tasks as required.What you will require:Must have a High School Diploma (HSD) and one to three (1-3) years experience as a supervisor or team leader.Must be a team player, reliable, responsible and possess a strong work ethic in a dynamic work environment.Must have the spirit of making safety a top priority.Must have good analytical skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills in French and English (communication with colleagues, customers and suppliers based outside Quebec).Must be meticulous, alert and detail-oriented.Strong computer (Microsoft Office) and SAP skills.Previous forklift experience and experience or knowledge of chemicals are considered assets.Experience in a union environment is considered an asset.Experience and knowledge of TDG and WHMIS is considered a strong asset.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Univar Solutions is a leading, global distributor of chemicals and ingredients essential to the safety, health, and wellbeing of our daily lives from life-saving medicines and vitamins to hand sanitizers and industrial materials used for cleaning, construction, and more.
