Job Summary

As a Front-End Developer at Pointer, your role is pivotal in bridging our design process with cutting-edge web technologies that power our projects. Your primary responsibility is to craft responsive and efficient websites that not only fulfill the project's requirements but also deliver a seamless user experience across various browsers and devices. Applicants must possess a strong understanding of current e-commerce development trends and technologies, with a continuous aptitude for learning.

Responsibilities
  • Build out design comps to pixel-perfect accuracy
  • Ability to write structured, well-organized, and reusable code
  • Perform thorough code reviews for your peers tasks
  • Collaborate with the Experience team to ensure the proposed design files are achievable from a technical perspective
  • Work closely with the Client Services team to ensure project requirements and timelines are being met
  • Produce concise and descriptive documentation
  • Inspect and troubleshoot bugs and other QA issues

  • Time Management : Must adhere to task estimates and project timelines to ensure timely deliverables to our clients
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

The following is a list of must have competencies in order to be a successful candidate for the role:

  • 3 years experience in web development or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team based environment
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS/SCSS, and Javascript
  • Strong knowledge of React and GraphQL
  • Experience building mobile-first websites leveraging responsive frameworks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with a design team to build out mockups and wireframes
  • Previous experience using version control tools such as Git
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

The following is a list of preferred competencies that are viewed as an asset, however not required for the role:

  • Shopify platform experience
  • Knowledge of backend web technologies
  • Headless web architecture and frameworks
