Axxonlab’s output quality is also supported by its participation in quality control (QC) programs namely the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s (AIHA) Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) rounds as well as the QC program of the Institut de Recherche Robert‐Sauvé en Santé et en Sécurité du travail (IRSST) for regulated fibers in air samples.Due to our continuous growth, we are constantly on the lookout for highly qualified professionals to join a team committed to being the absolute best.Axxonlab's adherence to quality and excellence has produced explosive company growth resulting in immediate openings for:Microbiology laboratory technicianPrimary Responsibilities:· Working in a very fast paced environment by performing full analytical testing of assigned materials or products within standard times and under minimum guidance.· Analysis of air/swab/tape-lift/bulk environmental samples via direct microscopy for the identification and quantification of mold spores· The position relies heavily on comprehensive microscopy techniques on environmental samples per established SOP's and pharmacopoeia product specifications· Documenting and reporting results· Conducting laboratory investigation as required· Providing technical support to other analysts· Performing trouble-shooting on complex issues with respect to laboratory analysis and laboratory instrumentation· Performing all work in accordance with all established regulatory, compliance and safety requirements· Maintaining professional relationship with Internal/External CustomersSkills & Qualification Required:· University Degree in Science - Microbiology· Must be part or eligible to the Association des Microbiologistes du Québec (AMQ)· Knowledge of analytical techniques in IAQ (indoor air quality)· Superior organizational and interpersonal skills· Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and effectively· Excellent written and oral communication skills is a must (both French and English)· Computer proficiency with MS Office programs· Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks with strong attention to detailTo apply, please reference “ Microbiology laboratory technician” in subject line and submit resume and cover letter.
