Position #34705 The College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS), University of Manitoba, Canada invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Instructor I/II and Senior Instructor, commencing August 1, 2024, or at a time to be negotiated. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and in accordance with the University of Manitoba Faculty Association collective agreement. Major responsibilities will include being the Pharmacy lead for the Office of Interprofessional Collaboration (OIPC) (40%), course coordination and teaching in the pharmacy practice and clinical courses, and service as assigned. OIPC activities will include, but are not limited to the development, implementation, and assessment of interprofessional learning activities, in collaboration and working closely with faculty from other health science colleges and with the OIPC office. The candidate will regularly liaise with other RFHS Colleges, communicate with students, and course coordinators, and collaborate with communities and other educational institutions. Within the College of Pharmacy, in addition to collaborating and coordinating interprofessional education with faculty members, the individual will also teach in the applied pharmacy practice labs and clinical courses with duties involving, but not limited to, course coordination, delivering lectures, developing cases and standardized patient scenarios, teaching and evaluating students in performance-based and simulation lab environments. The successful applicant may also help to develop and facilitate continuing professional development for practicing pharmacists. The position will represent the College on relevant University and professional committees and associations. Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience and experience working in interprofessional patient care teams. In addition to in-person teaching responsibilities, ability to teach in a virtual on-line environment is an asset. The successful candidate must maintain an active pharmacy license and be eligible to practice in Manitoba. The College of Pharmacy is located in a state-of-the-art Apotex Centre on the Bannatyne Campus at the University of Manitoba.
