Project Duration: 6 Months (with a potential extension)

Hours per Day: 7 Hours

Hours per Week: 35 Hours (Monday to Friday, regular business hours)

Job Overview:

The SAP Functional Consultant will work within the Technology Services Division of the City of Toronto. The consultant will be responsible for documenting the AS-IS SAP solutions, focusing on SAP HCM, ESS/MSS portal, payroll configurations, and workflow customizations. The role requires expertise in SAP Enterprise Portal, HCM modules, and integrations. The consultant will also participate in troubleshooting production issues and resolving technical challenges.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

1. SAP Enterprise Portal Administration & Customization – Managing roles, navigation, HCM Forms, iViews, Adobe Forms, Workflows, and ESS/MSS portlets.

2. SAP HCM Modules Expertise – Configuration knowledge of Organizational Management (OM), Personnel Administration (PA), Time Management (TM), and Payroll.

3. Payroll Configuration (Canada Payroll) – Experience in configuring wage types, payroll schemas, tax calculations, benefits, time and attendance management, and executing payroll runs.

4. Documentation & Reverse Engineering – Ability to document SAP HCM configurations and functional specifications.

5. Development Knowledge – Basic understanding of ABAP, SAP Fiori, Java, Middleware tools, and WebDynpro.

6. Planning & Communication – Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders, gather requirements, and explain solutions effectively.

7. Problem-solving & Troubleshooting – Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues efficiently.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience in configuring and integrating SAP ESS/MSS and Adobe Forms.

• Knowledge of eTime and substitute management processes in SAP HCM.

• Familiarity with security roles, permissions, and SAP system administration.

• Experience in system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.

Additional Information:

• The consultant will be required to work onsite two days per week at the Union Station office.

• The City of Toronto will shortlist up to three candidates for interviews.

• The selected candidate must meet a minimum of 70% in the technical evaluation to proceed.

• The evaluation process includes proposal submission, interviews, and cost assessment.
