About the role

Reporting into the Café Manager, our Kitchen Supervisor works alongside a Kitchen Assistant as well as 5 Café allrounders on the floor. Based in Collingwood and open Monday – Friday 730am-230pm, we offer a small, bespoke seasonal menu that showcases our coffee.

With support from the Café manager, the role oversees all aspects of kitchen operations, leading and inspiring the café team through:

Daily set up and food preparation

Creative and seasonal menu development

Stock control and costings

Leading a team of kitchen allrounders

Responsible for health and safety of kitchen space

Creating strong customer relations with their food offering

About you

We are looking for an experienced café cook or chef to join our team. A sincere and genuine person with a creative flair and strong customer focus. To nail this role you’ll need:

A passion for food and flavour, with creativity and innovation in menu planning

Leadership or management experience in a café kitchen environment (Experience running kitchen spaces solo is a bonus)

Food safety certification paired with high standards of food safety and cleanliness

Be friendly and sincere and enjoy working as part of a team

Be detail oriented with great organisational skills

Foster a positive work environment, encouraging growth and development of the business and team around you.
