Position Job Title: Course Developer – International Business/LeadershipJob Type: ContractualPrimary PurposeThe Course Developer will be responsible for developing high-quality courses collaborating with the Associate Dean and instructional designers for online, hybrid, and traditional classroom settings. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert and will possess a strong understanding of pedagogical principles, instructional design methodologies, and emerging technologies to enhance student learning experiences. Specific ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Associate Dean to assess learning objectives, course content, and instructional materials for new courses.Design and develop engaging and interactive course materials, including lectures, presentations, multimedia resources, assessments, and learning activities.Utilize instructional design principles and best practices to ensure courses meet quality standards, accessibility guidelines, and student learning outcomes.Incorporate innovative instructional strategies, educational technologies, and multimedia tools to enhance student engagement and promote active learning.Conduct regular reviews and updates of course content based on feedback, and emerging trends in the field.Work collaboratively with instructional designers, multimedia specialists to integrate diverse perspectives and expertise into course development.QualificationsMaster’s degree in business, PhD preferred, with a specialisation in International Business and/or Leadership Minimum 3years of experience in online course development, the instructional design process, or curriculum design in a higher education setting.Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theories and assessment strategies.Proficiency with course development tools, learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace, Canvas, Blackboard).Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, AODA) and experience designing inclusive learning environments.Knowledge of copyright and intellectual property issues related to educational materials and online contentDiversity and Inclusivity StatementUniversity of Niagara Falls, Canada (UNF) is strongly committed to equity, diversity, and inclusivity within its community and especially welcomes applications from racialized persons / persons of color, women, Indigenous / Aboriginal People of North America, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ2S+ persons, and others who may contribute to the further diversification of ideas.
