Senior Service Technician

*Purpose:*

Axiom Equipment Group is a thriving, structured company that upholds high standards at all times. The Senior Service Technician primarily works under the Shop Supervisor to provide on-site servicing, diagnostics, and repairs for our customers in Western Canada.

*Key Responsibilities*

-Performs maintenance and repair service on equipment

- Assembles new equipment and performs a complete PDI check on all new equipment, and makes ready for customers.

- Consults manufacturer’s manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine test, calibration and maintenance procedures for equipment.

- Tests, inspects, repairs, adjusts, and maintains equipment.

- Supports equipment demonstrations for customers as required by sales.

- Records all service activity, parts and consumables used.

- Assists purchasing with setting seasonal equipment parts and consumables inventory within the Kanban levels approved by the Operations Manager.

- Completes all maintenance and repair activities in a safe manner and ensures work area is clean and organized according to Company policies and procedures.

- Responds by telephone, in person or e-mail to customer technical inquiries, issues and concerns in an effective, timely and professional manner. Liaises with manufacturing support for more difficult issues as required.

- Operates forklift to load and unload trucks.

- Supports Shop Supervisor as required.

*Qualifications:*

- Shop Safety

- Mechanically minded with mechanical trade certification with industrial equipment.

- Experience and certification in operating forklifts and wheel loaders

- Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing

- Available for international travel

- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership

- Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
