Long DescriptionEquipment Performance Business Analyst
LOCATION: Toronto Head Office - 4950 Yonge St, Suite 2400, Toronto, ON M2N 6K1
STRUCTURE: Potential for hybrid work model (2 days remote work per week)
REPORTING TO: Vice President, Equipment Performance & Procurement

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the VP, Equipment Performance, the Equipment Performance Business Analyst is responsible for performing research and analytical work for Colas Canada and its subsidiary businesses, particularly in the areas of cost management, replacement schedules, performance benchmarking and action plan tracking. This role is also responsible for the analysis and development of productivity programs and measurements to simplify and/or improve processes, determining performance standards by tracking and trending equipment data, and conducting utilization rate analyses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop reporting and metrics systems such as Power BI and ReportsNow, related to Equipment and Materials,
• Participate in Global Equipment initiatives,
• Perform required analysis to investigate on going or one-time issues,
• Deliver and upkeep Equipment Training modules,
• Streamline and standardize processes and procedures for Canada while being actively involved with North American best practices in terms of Equipment and Materials,
• Integrate all business units making sure that their Equipment division/s are operational and inline with all Colas requirements and procedures,
• Analyze equipment utilization data to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements,
• Manage communications and interaction with the Colas SA Equipment group,
• Working within the North American Equipment groups developing efficiencies, KPI’s and continuous improvement programs such as Lean Methodology, 6S and Sigma,
• Develop and communicate recommendations designed to improve results, processes and/or procedures,
• Investigate groundbreaking technologies and innovations related to Equipment Fleet,
• Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field,
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in the road construction equipment industry,
• Excellent knowledge of Construction Equipment and its measurements,
• Proven experience with all aspects of Equipment use and lifecycles,
• Strong technical skills: MS Office Suite, JDE, ON-Base and ERDW.
WHAT YOU BRING

• Good understanding of financial statements,
• Traveling is required for this position.
