Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide is responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry tasks in an efficient and safe manner with due consideration for the needs and comfort of the residents, and promoting a safe, clean, sanitized and welcoming environment.

  • Able to perform heavy lifting tasks and visual acuity for inspecting linens and to ensure cleaning tasks are performed to standard
  • Some experience in institutional housekeeping or laundry is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and be an active team player
  • Ability to work shifts(days, evenings and weekends)
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese an asset

Working Conditions:

  • Considerable lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, walking and bending
  • Exposed to chemicals, body waste, garbage
