Reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager, the Content Specialist is responsible for creating compelling content to enhance the brand awareness and drive audience engagement. This role involves owning Empire Communities’ brand tone, voice, and personality in all forms of content across the company’s various platforms and ensuring consistency in messaging. From idea generation through to execution, the Content Specialist’s primary responsibilities include turning key messaging and ideas into compelling content for websites, blogs, social media pages, emails, ads, press releases, and more. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with other internal teams to support marketing initiatives and maintain brand integrity, all while having a passion for innovative storytelling and understanding how to structure messages for various audiences and channels.
This role is located at our Empire Canada Head Office in Vaughan, ON .
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or related field
3+ years experience in copywriting and content creation; preferably in a Marketing or Public Relations agency
Passion in crafting precise, creative, and impactful copy that captivates diverse audiences
Strong knowledge and experience with digital marketing, including social media, email marketing, and SEO best practices
Bonus If You Have These Skills:
Understanding of the social media and digital content space, with experience helping organizations achieve success via content
History of working with analytics tools, email marketing platforms, Adobe Suite, and Content Management Systems (CMS)

Content Planning: Creating, organizing, and managing Empire’s master brand content calendar while also working with Empire’s divisional sales and marketing teams to support divisional content goals and objectives, ensuring content calendars are aligned and being seamlessly executed on
Content Creation: Researching, writing, editing, developing, and publishing content for Empire’s websites, blogs, social media pages, emails, ads, videos, etc. that align with Empire’s brand pillars and marketing objectives, and can be repurposed and promoted across our various platforms
Market Research: Conducting thorough research to understand target audience demographics, preferences, and trends while sharing broader knowledge and ideas with the team as well as incorporating these insights into marketing strategies to achieve organizational goals
Cross Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to brainstorm ideas, provide strategic feedback, and contribute to Empire’s greater marketing initiatives
