JOB TITLE: Physiotherapist – Temporary, Full Time
In-Home (SUD IH PT-011)
EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately to April 30, 2025
The Physiotherapist is responsiblefor the provision of physiotherapy services to Home and Community Care patientsin order to reduce, eliminate, or prevent physical disabilities/impairments andimprove the patient’s functional independence and safety in their respectiveenvironment.
In-depth knowledge of physiotherapy services and othercommunity resources;
Good understanding of the roles of health care professionals;
Relevant physiotherapy experience in a community/health careenvironment;
Practical knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation(e.g. regarding the provision of health care services, privacy, health andsafety, etc.);
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work withdiverse patient groups, case managers, familymembers/caregivers/Substitute Decision Makers, health care professionals,community organizations and service providers;
Working knowledge of computer software (email, internet) andMicrosoft Office applications (Word, Excel);
Must have valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle;
Advanced oral and written proficiency in English isessential.
Physiotherapistsmay qualify for a Rehabilitation Professionals Incentive Grant of $5,000 peryear for three years which is paid by the Underserviced Area Program of theMinistry of Health and Long-Term Care.
