We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our Timmins Construction & Forestry location. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction, aggregate/crushing units, pavers/compaction, and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment
  2. Diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy duty equipment
  3. Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
  4. Dismantle, repair, and assemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications
  5. Operate hoisting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and/or repair activities
  6. Test and provide constructive feedback on existing and newly manufactured industrial equipment
  7. Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment
  8. Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  9. Prepare electronic inspection and service reports
  10. Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
  11. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
  12. Other duties as required
Required Skills

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Evaluation and diagnostic skills for heavy duty equipment
  • Ability to operate hoisting devices and perform machinery assembly
  • Experience in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing machinery and equipment
  • Skills in electronic inspection and service reporting
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a team
Required Experience

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Computer and technical aptitude for diagnostics and calibration work
  • Proven diagnostic skills for mechanical and technical equipment repair
  • Time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure
