Position Title: Mechanical Planner – Mill Maintenance (Mining Industry) Location: Sudbury Rotation: 14 days on / 14 days off Type of work: Fly in / fly out Overview Systemex Industries is an industrial engineering and technical services firm specializing in maintenance, asset reliability and operational performance optimization. We are currently seeking Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Planners to support our major clients in the mining industry through specialized mandates. These professionals will be involved in strategic projects focused on maintenance planning, execution of planned shutdowns, equipment reliability improvement, and operational support, based on each client's specific needs. Key Responsibilities Perform field scoping to assess equipment conditions and define work requirements. Develop and manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs) for mill equipment. Build detailed maintenance schedules in coordination with operations, reliability, and maintenance teams. Order and track parts, tools, and materials required for planned work. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance plans, histories, and updates. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency. Ensure all planning activities adhere to mine safety standards and operational procedures. Qualifications Technical diploma (DEC / college-level) or degree in Industrial Mechanics, Electrical Technology, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline. Engineering degrees in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering are also considered. Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in maintenance planning or coordination, ideally in a mining or heavy industrial environment. Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, maintenance workflows, and work execution in an industrial setting. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); proficiency with Oracle or Viziya is a strong asset. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to translate field requirements into structured maintenance plans and schedules. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: In person
