REDS Recreation provides physical activity and wellness opportunities for students, faculty/staff, alumni and the community. We offer memberships, club sport & intramurals, group fitness, fee-based programs, aquatic-based activities, unorganized recreational opportunities, occupational testing, outdoor recreation and more in both group and individual experiences. Reporting to the Clinical Exercise Physiologist, the CEP Instructor supports the operation of REDS Recreation programming to fulfill our mission of providing our campus and community with excellence in wellness, sport and recreation.
Assist in training, mentoring and evaluating other instructors and volunteers of special population and generally healthy strength & conditioning programs.
Provide personal training services to clients who require a Clinical Exercise Physiologist due to their health status or those apparently healthy looking for general strength and conditioning programs.
This could be occupational fitness testing or general fitness appraisals.
Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or health-related program.
Experience teaching older adults and those with chronic conditions in both group and one-on-one settings.
Additional health and fitness certifications would be considered an asset.
Additional training with special populations would be considered an asset.
Experience working at REDS Recreation would be considered an asset.
