Smelter Director

Through effective leadership, the Smelter Director will be required to establish the strategic vision and direction to effectively manage operations while meeting all safety, production, metallurgical, environmental, and budgetary objectives.
The ideal candidate is an experienced operations manager with a strong technical background and significant experience in production, engineering, and management. A minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior management role in operations, coupled with solid business acumen, is required.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve health, safety, and environmental performance.
Foster community relationships and ensure the company's operations respect human rights.
Utilize data-driven decision-making to optimize production processes.
Evaluate and negotiate contracts to ensure beneficial agreements for the company.
Oversee daily operations to ensure the achievement of production, metallurgical, environmental, and budgetary objectives.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources to meet production targets.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on progress and challenges.
Develop and manage budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Identify and mitigate risks to the organization.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior management role in operations.
Strong technical background in production, engineering, and management.
Solid business acumen and financial management skills.
