As a Dessert Maker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of delicious desserts that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a crucial role in delighting our customers and enhancing their dining experience. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, and confections, following established recipes and techniques. Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal and consistency. Package finished products for display or sale, maintaining high standards of presentation. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely production and delivery of dessert items. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions about dessert offerings, and accommodating special requests. Requirements Proven experience in baking or pastry making within a culinary or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in cake decorating is highly desirable. Background in catering or food production is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
