Responsibilities
Take the lead in developing procurement strategies, ensuring stakeholder buy-in while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to devise and implement sourcing and stakeholder engagement strategies that align with capital program demands, work scope requirements, and industry dynamics.
Execute procurement best practices, ensuring compliance with client policies and procedures throughout sourcing activities.
Develop project-specific contracting and procurement strategies, including contract execution plans, to support Project Management stage gate review processes.
Facilitate end users' sourcing needs by providing input into capital project planning, participating in RFx processes, and assisting in negotiation preparation and execution.
Lead initiatives to align procurement activities with strategic goals, collaborating with Category Management, Procurement team members, and business stakeholders.
Manage day-to-day contract-related requests, including contractor onboarding, change management activities, and claims management.
Prepare Contract Executive Summaries and lead supplier relationship reviews with key suppliers, advocating for client Diversity and Inclusion efforts.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to procurement team members across all Procurement site locations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of progressive procurement experience in an industrial setting.
Proficiency in managing the RFP process, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
Experience drafting contract exhibits with attention to detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., Ariba, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Office).
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of procurement regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
Willingness to travel to the Lanigan site and flexibility in working hours.
