As a Forest Keeper, you will work collaboratively within a team whose focus will be rooted in regenerative forestry and increasing the Kwiakah First Nation (KFN) presences in the land, conducting surveys, research, monitoring and collecting data on the ecological health within the territory.

High School diploma and 3 years of general work experience required.
Post-secondary training and or equivalent work experience in Forestry is an asset.
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations.
Familiarity with indigenous laws as well as federal and provincial rules and regulations.
Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, email and using handheld devices.
Experience working in an online environment.
Marine Emergency Certificate.
These Skills and Abilities will help you thrive:
Confident, comfortable, and assertive in addressing violation issues with community members and resource users.
Ability to work irregular work hours, including overnight and in isolated conditions.
This position requires working extensively in isolated conditions within the territory, including in forest, marine and lake environments.
Proficiency in outdoor environments with the necessary first aid and safety training to keep yourself and others safe on the job.
