Electrical Engineering Manager Burlington, ON (Hybrid) | Full-Time | Engineering Leadership About the Role Are you ready to lead a dynamic team designing automated test systems that power some of the most advanced products in the automotive, aerospace, medical, industrial, and high-tech sectors? This is an opportunity to manage a talented group of Electrical Engineers and Technicians across multiple sites, driving design innovation and ensuring seamless system integration for complex, cutting-edge electronic test platforms. If you’re an experienced technical leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys guiding cross-functional teams, this role is designed for you. What You’ll Do Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10–12 Electrical Engineers and Technicians. Oversee electrical system design, integration, and quality for automated test systems. Assign project workloads, manage labor resources, and maintain balanced utilization across projects. Communicate project milestones, staffing updates, and deliverables to leadership. Support hiring, onboarding, and career development for engineering staff. Drive process improvement initiatives and implement best-in-class design standards. Contribute to quoting and proposal efforts for new projects. Champion adoption of modern tools and methods that elevate design quality and execution speed. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 3+ years in a management role. Demonstrated success leading geographically distributed teams and mentoring technical professionals. Strong command of electronic circuit theory, test and measurement equipment, and functional test systems. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills; comfortable interfacing with customers and cross-disciplinary teams. Proficient in CAD, Microsoft Office, and other engineering software platforms. Strategic mindset with proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resource planning. Experience with ISO 9001 and NIST 800-171 compliance (or similar standards). Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%) and contribute extra effort during critical project phases.
