Canada’s National Ballet School is currently inviting applications for the contract role of Dishwasher through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, the Dishwasher will support the Food Services Department by providing students and patrons of the Town Square Café with clean and sanitized utensils, plate ware, glassware, and equipment.

kitchen at prescribed intervals or as required by sweeping and mopping floors, removing garbage, and breaking down boxes for disposal
food, supplies, and equipment from one kitchen to another
other duties as required to contribute to the team effort and achieve the objectives of the Food Services Department

Minimum 1 year experience in an institutional kitchen preferred;
Proficiency with operating and correctly using industrial dish machines; Good understanding of sanitation and cleanliness issues with respect to the service area and cafeteria.

As per the requirements of Canada Summer Jobs, applicants must be:
a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under theImmigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

55 per hour
~ Successful candidates must supply Canada’s National Ballet School with a Police Check in accordance with the School’s Child Abuse/Sexual Abuse Prevention Policy; Consideration of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
