We are looking for a 310T Truck & Coach 3rd Year Apprentice. In this role you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on our fleet. You will perform troubleshooting, mechanical repairs and regular maintenance including inspections.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate Equipment issues with Fleet-Manager on safety or related equipment issues.
  • Assist Fleet Manager with Full Maintenance program on trucks and trailers.
  • Able to weld and fabricate parts would be an asset.
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Completing diagnostic tests and testing repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Installation of new and add on equipment.
  • Accurate completion of work orders.
  • Promoting and maintaining safe working conditions and adherence to occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Must be able to drive equipment in/out of the shop.
  • Manage and perform running repairs.
  • Other mechanical repair work as required, including other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working on Trucks and Trailers.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as proven problem-solving abilities.

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to crouch, bend and kneel, as well as capable of heavy lifting and carrying.
  • Physical dexterity is essential.
