Position Description
We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our client's East-West Pipelines Department. This department provides engineering support to 11 crude oil pump stations, 4 Compression Stations, 2 Booster Stations at Jizan/Abha Pipelines, and ASL Stabilizer. Additionally, it leads BI-19 projects related to electrical systems and participates in walkthrough activities for capital projects.
The primary responsibility of the Electrical Engineer is to assess plant power systems and substations, recommending new installations or modifications to enhance power system reliability or replace defective/obsolete electrical equipment.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Power field or equivalent.
NACE CP certification (minimum CP level-II) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Minimum of 13 years of experience, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical troubleshooting and assistance to maintenance staff for resolving power system issues.
Conduct design reviews and provide comments for capital projects throughout the project cycle.
Perform site activities including field engineering, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup support.
Offer technical support for field power systems at EWPD facilities and maintain ETAP models for all plants.
Prepare conceptual design packages and engineering budgetary cost estimates.
Develop and review power system designs for new projects and extensions to existing systems.
Review installation, commissioning, and testing of transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and control gear.
Analyze UPS, DC, and battery systems components, design parameters, and maintenance requirements.
Optimize conceptual power system design based on system studies and advise on calculation study results.
Resolve power monitoring system software issues and provide project specifications for equipment operations and maintenance requirements.
Evaluate equipment selection based on cost and operational economics.
