ZRS is currently looking for a Principal, Cyber Security Risk Consultant to provide strategic cyber security risk advisory services to clients, acting as a virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO).

Reporting to Head of ZRS, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic cyber security risk advisory services to our clients. Leveraging your extensive experience and knowledge in the field, you will develop and implement security strategies tailored to complex public and private organizations. Reporting to the senior management, you will bridge the gap between cyber security and other areas of business risk.

What you will do -

  • Provide strategic cyber security risk advisory services to clients, acting as a virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO).
  • Develop and implement security strategies for complex organizations to enhance cyber resilience.
  • Build positive risk culture within organizations, focusing on cyber resilience and responsible risk-based decision making.
  • Develop and deliver training, products, and thought leadership to empower organizations in managing cyber security risks.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and trends, particularly state-sponsored and criminal cyber threat groups.
  • Deliver keynote addresses and conference trainings on cyber security topics, including the communication gap between cyber and business leaders, emerging threat actors and trends, and social engineering threats.
  • Represents the region in the respective global technical center team and contributes to the development of global technical standards and training offerings in own area of expertise.
  • Drives the regional deployment of technical training initiatives.
  • Participates in line of business or industry specific technical reviews.
  • Provides technical support to risk engineers, involved in the delivery of risk assessment and risk improvement services to customers and business partners.
  • Act as a key technical authority in their area of risk.
  • Responsible for Line of Business specific technical updates and maintenance of organizational knowledge.
  • Involvement in technical Risk Engineering committees, e.g. Centres of Expertise.
  • Provide effective advice on risk management issues to external customers and internal business partners.
  • Participate in loss investigations.
  • Participate in competency management activities, including the monitoring of mentoring activities and competency sign-off, where appropriate.
  • Hold and maintain professional certifications and designations related to risk management and cyber security eg:PMP, PMI-RMP, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CCISO
Job Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area related to Cyber Security.
OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area related to Cyber Security.
OR

  • Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associates degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area related to Cyber Security.
AND

  • Knowledge of exposures, controls and best practice risk improvement.
Preferred:

  • Commercial insurance industry experience
  • People management experience.
