*Your Role:*
* Responsible for installation, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting of equipment for automated measurement and control of industrial processing equipment, as well as programming and troubleshooting of PLCs and other controllers.
* Responsible for installation, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting of high voltage power distribution equipment, MCC’s, switchgear, motors, VFD’s etc.
* Installing and terminating wire, cable, equipment, panels, sensors and various control components and devices.
* Work with Engineering group on design and installation of process automation equipment and electrical system.
* Ensure adequate inventory of spare parts are available to maintain automation and electrical systems, motors etc.
* Provide input into system design, installation, and coordination.
* Ensure that work is done in accordance with relevant codes and specifications.
* Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment.
* Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
* Advise management on hazardous conditions related to operation of equipment.
* Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
* Maintain current electrician’s license to meet governmental regulations.
* Work with electrical contractors to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
* Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
* Support the company’s vision and policies regarding safety and health, corporate culture, and the Progressive Excellence Program by displaying the appropriate behaviors and leadership toward meeting the company’s objectives in these areas.

*Qualifications/Competencies:*
* Proven Experience as a Certified Electrician – with a minimum of 10 years experience
* Red-Seal/Journeyperson certification
* Proven experience working with PLC's and control systems.
* Possess a valid driver’s license.
* Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
* Experience with maintenance operations and new equipment installations
* Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
* Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
* Strong attention to detail
* Computer literate
* 24/7 on-call availability and overtime may be required at times.
* Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
* Travel to off-site locations may be required.
* Work both indoors and outdoors
