Drive cost improvement activities by identifying system improvements, inventory management, headcount optimization, and improved square footage utilization
Work closely with the Inventory Control team to ensure that cycle counts, spot counts and yearly wall-to-wall inventory counts are conducted on time and following all related SOPs
Lead internal process improvements to optimize picking, packing, put-away and shipment processes. Continue to develop Standard Operating Procedures and ensure that all warehouse operations comply to SOPs
Work closely with Planning and Transportation Teams to ensure a balanced and smooth operation
Partner with temporary staffing agencies to support high peak periods and demands and set clear and measurable objectives for the team
Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
Manage and own warehouse operations budget
The Ideal candidate will have a strong background and proven track record in managing the Warehousing operation, including:
~5+ years of people management and/or leadership experience is required
~ Track record of building efficient teams with strong work ethics, leadership skills and the ability to confidently lead people through change in a fast-paced environment
~ Advanced knowledge of Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems, SAP and RF Pathways experience
~ Proven ability to effectively lead projects with a strong attention to detail, organized and strategic approach
~ Proven track record of coaching, training, and managing teams. Relevant education in supply chain, operations management, industrial engineering or equivalent work experience in managing warehouse operations is an asset
