Solidworks Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our Calgary office. In this role, you will manage a team of designers to take projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, time and budget expectations are achieved. Creative thinking and a proactive attitude, along with strong communication, organizational and report writing skills, are essential.

Mechanical design including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and building control systems.
Manage the planning, coordination, and completion of multiple projects.
Team supervision, including assigning work, peer reviews, and technical guidance.
Establish and monitor internal budgets and project delivery schedules.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers to ensure they are continually growing.
Comply with AME quality management standards and processes.

Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Revit, IESve and HAP would be an asset.
Up-to-date knowledge of technical developments in the field of engineering.
Ability to formulate sound engineering decisions and judgment.

Minimum 5 years of mechanical (HVAC, plumbing and fire protection) experience in design, project management and client relations.
