Must-haves

  • University or College degree in Engineering
  • Experience working in Manufacturing or Automotive industries
  • 2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Process Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer
  • Hands on experience with installations, debugging, troubleshooting, and verifications
  • Strong communication skills, good attitude, team player mentality
  • Comfortable with shift work (overnight possible), as well as OT as necessary

Plusses

  • PLC programming experience or a Controls Engineering background
  • Previous leadership experience
  • GD&T experience
  • SOLIDWORKS and/or Unigraphics experience
  • Ability to travel to US and Mexico on an as needed basis

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is seeking multiple Manufacturing Engineer in Ingersoll, ON. This engineer's purpose is to lead/support the successful launch and start-up for new battery manufacturing plant and their processes. Responsibilities will include: managing equipment execution, in-plant problem solving, driving continuous improvement initiatives, documenting and reporting project progress, and serving as the technical and project management liaison. This individual will follow the equipment from the supplier to the plant and oversee the successful launch from a technical perspective. They will support in-plant validation of systems to ensure equipment meets or exceeds performance requirements (safety, ergonomic, quality, throughput). This person will interact with cross-functional teams and serve as the customer, supplier, and plant point of contact. Local/domestic travel is expected.
