~ We are looking for enthusiastic and organized Camp Supervisors, we call them Unit Heads, to join our Summer 2024 camp team. Unit Heads are integral to our summer leadership team and oversee a group of staff and campers within a specific age group. An interest in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math) and/or sports and outdoor activities is an asset, but what we are really looking for are candidates with lots of experience working with youth and young adults, who are strong leaders, and who have a genuine love for camp
Has extensive experience supervising children in a camp/recreation/educational setting
Will mentor and assist camp counsellors in providing campers with a fun and safe camp experience
Will maintain excellent rapport with staff, campers, and camp families
Involvement in operation and delivery of the camp day
Communicate with counsellors, camp families, instructors, and members of the Leadership Team on an ongoing basis
A background or recreation in teaching, recreation, early childhood education, or a related field
~ Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in camp or related field
~3+ years experience working with children ages 4 to 14 in a camp or educational setting
~ Full weekday availability in July and August and select training days in the pre-camp season

Considered an Asset:
A background or education in science and technology, outdoor adventure, sports, or a related field
Experience making, coding, robotics, electronics, VR, or 2D/3D design
Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C (must have before the start of camp)
Vulnerable Sector Screening Check (must have before the start of camp)

Fletcher’s Fields Markham (2743 19th Ave): SK - 8, STEAM Camp & Outdoor Adventure Camp

Holy Trinity School (11300 Bayview Ave): JK - Grade 4, STEAM Camp
