ABOUT THE ROLE:
The firm seeking an experienced Litigation Law Clerk to join their team and support two partners in the management of various files related to commercial litigation, civil litigation, and estates litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a law firm setting, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
File Management:
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affivadits and correspondence.

Research and Analysis:
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
- Summarize relevant case law and statutes for use in legal proceedings.

Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of clients for hearings and trials.

Court Filings:
- Prepare and file legal documents with the court, adhering to all filing deadlines.
- Monitor court dockets and deadlines to ensure timely compliance.

Administrative Support:
- Assist in the preparation of client invoices and billing statements.
- Provide administrative support to partners, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling phone inquiries.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a law firm setting, preferably with a focus on litigation.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent education.
  • Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and case management.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of court procedures and filing requirements.
