Job Title: Electrical Estimator (E-Houses and Switchgear Specialist)

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to..

- Evaluate and estimate costs for electrical projects involving E-Houses and switchgear installations.

- Analyze project requirements and technical specifications to determine accurate pricing.

- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop comprehensive project proposals.

- Conduct thorough assessments of materials, labour, and equipment needed for each project.

- Utilize industry knowledge and expertise to provide accurate and competitive bids.

- Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in E-Houses and switchgear technology.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the estimation process.

- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

· Journeyman Electrician Certification from an accredited Canadian Institution

· Minimum 5 years of Electrical Estimating experience in previous role

· In depth knowledge and understanding of current Codes, Standards and Technical Requirements

· Experience in client communication and strong understanding of E-houses, Electrical Field Construction, and other Electrical Projects

· Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written/oral communication skills

· Excellent leadership, organizational, conflict resolution, time management, and multi-tasking abilities

Responsibilities:

- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates

- Utilize software programs such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other industry-specific tools to create detailed cost estimates

- Prepare and submit bids to clients within specified deadlines

- Review and negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make adjustments as necessary

- Provide ongoing support to project teams by answering questions related to cost estimates

PREREQUISITES FOR SUCCESS

Preferred Certifications: Related post-secondary education is a must.

Proven Track Record: Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role.
