Our client is looking for a Central Organic Architecture Consultant.

Role and responsibilities

  • Carry out the detailed description of the architecture of the components;
  • Carry out the breakdown of the organic components;
  • Define or update the organic rules;
  • Manage component dictionary reservations and ensure required component documentation;
  • Provide support to functional architecture consultants, development analysts and programmers;
  • Ensure compliance with the scope of work assigned to the programmers;
  • Carry out proofs of concept;
  • Perform performance tests;
  • Prepare the operational file;
  • Develop the deployment strategy for the new solutions in the environments;
  • Develop and document the production release plan for the components of a delivery;
  • Ensure the support of the tests and the production launch with the different collaborators during the production launch;
  • Conduct impact analyses;
  • Propose improvement requests;
  • Carry out quality control of programming and compliance with standards;
  • Monitor market trends in order to feed the needs for evolution and improvement;
  • Ensure the transfer of knowledge to the designated personnel;
  • Take on any other responsibility related to an organic architecture consultant.

Expertise required

  • Twelve (12) years of experience in the field of information technology, including eight (8) years in the development of mainframe computer systems
  • Four (4) years of experience as an organic architecture consultant in multi-delivery, multi-environment, multi
  • multi-technology client-server development projects
  • Two (2) years of experience as an organic architecture consultant in development projects involving, core and local platforms, Cobol and VB.NET
  • Demonstrate the required experience in the various technologies as specified in the following table:
  • Cobol: 5 years
  • CICS: 5 years
  • DB2: 5 years
  • IMS: 5 years
  • TSO: 5 years
  • JCL: 3 years
  • Endevor: 3 years
  • VSAM: 5 years
  • Emul 3270: 6 months
