Must be available to work 10:30 to 7:00 pm - Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday, and some holidays

Responsibilities:

• Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our Residents
• Present the menu, enter orders into the system and communicate special requests to the culinary team
• Serve prepared orders to the Residents
• Attend to the needs of our Residents in the dining room to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
• Clean and prepare tables for new guests
• Assist the culinary team in preparing and serving simple items (i.e., beverages, toast, oatmeal)
• Assist the culinary team in portioning snacks and dessert items
• Assist with dishwashing as needed
• Prepare and deliver food trays/carts to various floors as needed
• Prepare the dining room including setting up/taking down chairs and tables as needed
• Other related tasks as assigned

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Certification of mandatory training in public health and sanitation (Food Handling Permit)
• 2 years of related experience

Technical Requirements:

• Operating in an efficient manner while maintaining stringent safety practices
• Working knowledge of English both verbal and written
• Knowledge of supportive living environments is an asset

Non-Technical Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently (self-managed) with efficiency and with other Associates in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and accountability
