Are you a skilled cable plant technician with network and project skills? We are hiring an IT Infrastructure Coordinator at our Edmonton Refinery. This role will give you the opportunity to plan and design, oversee vendors, and to do some hands-on work. If you are looking for an exciting new challenge that will allow you a high degree of accountability and autonomy, we want to hear from you

You will join our team of enthusiastic individuals and showcase your abilities to support the functional requirements of the role and add value to the team’s vision. You will have a strong focus on safely designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT cable plant and network systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT cable plant systems, with a preference for experience with network equipment and power distribution
  • Experience with project delivery and leading or influencing resources, including contractors
  • Strong communication skills at both technical and business levels
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with highly dispersed and dynamic teams

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT infrastructure builds including fiber optics, copper cabling, and network devices
  • Oversee operational IT activities including response for network and cable plant incidents
  • Work closely with project teams, vendor resources, and technical leads to support design and the safe execution of project deliverables
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices for all IT resources 

Location and other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
