Handyman technician

Hays has partnered with a builder of low rise and high rise developments across the GTA. They have been serving the Toronto and surrounding areas for over 50 years and pride themselves on enhanced value to the communities in which they belong. The open requisition is for a Warranty Technician / Handyman (U 1030) for an initial high rise project in Oakville, Ontario and then in the surrounding areas after.
Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting etc.
• Everything from framing to drywall, tiles, lay hardwood and more
• Perform maintenance and light repairs
• Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
• Undertake light installation or carpenting (e.g. install cabinets)
• Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
• The successful candidate will have worked for a home builder or high rise developer, undertaking the above noted tasks for a period of at least 3 years. They must be understanding of quality standards and safety measures. Furthermore, they will be able to identify deficiencies, communicate effectively with the internal team and trades and be adaptable to working on different types of projects.
