MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN CANADARequires Security Clearance: CRJMCHybrid (up to 3 days on-site)Contract Length: 9 months approx.Compensation: $70/hourIdeal candidate:Looking for someone who does not only have system related skills but also technical skills - more of a technical analyst, however still needs to understand business requirements, and have understanding of QA.Responsibilities:Provide senior technical expertise, project leadership, and coordination of activities in the development, implementation, and maintenance of cost-effective I&IT solutions.Offer technical advice to clients and leverage OPS I&IT solutions to meet program/service goals and objectives efficiently.General Skills:Specialized technical expertise in analyzing the design and architecture of systems solutions.Evaluate recommendations ensuring all solutions align with project goals and objectives.Identify short and long-term project goals/objectives and define program and service delivery requirements.Lead the analysis, development, and documentation of design and architecture of systems solutions.Lead the development, testing, integration, and implementation of systems solutions into client applications.Guide feasibility studies and cost-effective analyses of proposed client I&IT initiatives, ensuring documentation of all studies and analyses.Lead technical aspects of projects related to the development/acquisition of client applications through all SDLC stages: planning, scheduling, resource estimation, technical expertise, coordination, progress monitoring, and providing management with project status updates.Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements and translating business documents into technical specifications.Experience leading development/support teams for multi-dimensional and relational databases and their applications for effective planning, budgeting, strategizing, and forecasting procedures.Proven experience in designing and developing complex applications utilizing relational and multi-dimensional databases.Ability to provide implementation and post-implementation support as required.Oversee the research and evaluation of technical components in the acquisition of software, hardware, technology, systems, and products.Recommend and direct the measurement and improvement of tools, techniques, standards, and performance criteria to control the quality of application development initiatives.Desirable Skills:Knowledge and experience with middleware and gateways.Understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.Experience with the development/maintenance of documentation as per methodology.Ability to gather, review, and provide feedback on business requirements.
