The Quality Assurance Assistant provides administrative and training support to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Organizational and time management
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as a
  • Experience in food safety or Quality Assurance an asset.

Experience with Microsoft D365 considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Performs tasks associated with adhering to food safety programs and BRC requirements.
  • Completes administrative requirements for releasing product.
  • Maintains and updates computerized, and paper records and reports.
  • Able to adjust work schedule to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines as required.
  • Maintains an efficient filing
  • Maintains the master and departmental Armstrong Division MSDS documentation.
  • Updates and maintains departmental Standard Operating Procedure documentation.
  • Follows up on food safety, and GMP corrective actions.
  • Facilitates food safety training to operations employees, and supervisors as required.
  • Complete inspections for, prepares, and regularly facilitates food safety and GMP meetings.
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’S) while performing job duties and tasks.
  • Regularly completes facility wide inspections.
  • Performs any other related duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
  • Responsible for compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safety
  • Investigate any issues that may arise due to food safety concerns or complaints.
